DSYSA Soccer : Code of Conduct

The DSYSA Soccer Club’s Code of Conduct for parents, players, and coaches is stated below.  The Code of Conduct was approved during the November 2007 Soccer Board meeting.  Our Code of Conduct is applicable and in effect anytime you are participating in, attending, or representing DSYSA at any activity or event regardless of whether you are at our soccer fields or another club’s soccer fields.  The Code of Conduct applies to regular season games, scrimmages, tournaments, friendlies, practices, etc.  Our Code of Conduct also applies to visiting teams, coaches, parents, and spectators.


DSYSA Soccer Club - Code of Conduct  

 

Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association (DSYSA) Soccer Club adopted this Code of Conduct to ensure that all DSYSA Soccer Club parents, coaches, players, visitors, and spectators understand our expectations for appropriate behavior and good sportsmanship at all DSYSA Soccer Club events and activities.  The following outlines unacceptable behavior from parents, players, and coaches that reflects negatively on the DSYSA Soccer Club and may subject you to disciplinary action for violations. 

·         Poor sportsmanship, which includes, but is not limited to, discouraging remarks, profanity or any abusive behavior (continued shouting) directed at players, coaches, game officials,  parents, or spectators. 

·         Disparaging or derogatory comments about officiating.  Comments directed at the game officials are considered verbal abuse by Capital Area Youth Soccer Association and/or South Texas Youth Soccer Association and may result in disciplinary action by either organization and/or the DSYSA Soccer Club. 

·         Failure to leave the playing field or sideline immediately when instructed by a game official, club coach or any DSYSA Soccer Club Board member. 

·         Disruptive attempts to coach from the sideline. 

·         Consumption of alcoholic beverages at any DSYSA soccer or practice fields. 

Other forms of misbehavior, not specifically described above may be subject to disciplinary action from the DSYSA Soccer Club, CAYSA, and/or STYSA. Unacceptable behavior as outlined above may be subject to, but not limited to, the following levels of disciplinary action: 

·         Verbal or Written reprimand or warning

·         Probation

·         Temporary suspension of the right to view games from the sidelines

·         Expulsion from DSYSA Soccer, as well as from all DSYSA sports
